For Microsoft Teams / IT Administrators
This section guides Admins through installing the Empuls app on Microsoft Outlook for their organisation through the Microsoft Outlook admin center.Permissions for Installations
User.Read: Allows users to sign-in to the app, and the app to read the profile of signed-in users. It allows the app to read basic company information of signed-in users. OpenID: Allows users to sign-in to the app with their work or school accounts and allows it to see basic user profile information.Adding Empuls app to Outlook
Empuls app can be installed as a 1:1 chatbot for all employees (Referred to as Add to me) and as a bot to send appreciations/awards on channels (Referred to as Add to Team/Add to Chat). Employees can access their Empuls account from Outlook when the app is installed on their personal space (Referred to as Add to Me in the MS Outlook Apps store). To install the Empuls app for all users in your organisation:- Log in to the Microsoft Outlook admin center.
- Click on Outlook Apps > Setup Policies.
- Click on Global (Org-wide default) option to edit the policy.
- Click on Add Apps option under Installed App section. This allows you to add the Empuls app to the default installed app for all users.
- Click on **Add Apps **option under Pinned App section. This allows you to pin the Empuls app in messaging extensions and the Outlook app bar.
- Scroll to the end of the page to Save the changes.
Installing Empuls app on all Channels
With the Empuls app added as a message extension on all your Outlook, you may install it on all or a few select channels from their admin console.- Log in to the Microsoft Outlook admin center.
- Click Outlook apps > Manage Apps Search for Empuls app on the app list table and select the Add to Outlook option
- Click on the Add to Outlook link to see the channel in the right-hand side panel, select and save.

Appreciate & Reward your team
- Give value cards, monetary awards, or nominate co-workers on Outlook in 3 simple steps.
- Go to channel/group chat on your Outlook app where you wish to appreciate your teammate.
- Click on the Empuls icon on the message extension box to initiate recognition.
- Enter details of who you wish to appreciate, the award/core value to be given, and your reason for the appreciation, and Submit. If the award requires approval, your appreciation message will be published after the approver reviews it.
Redeem Reward Points

Share your feedback with your organisation and peers by responding to surveys on Empuls. You will be notified about this on a 1:1 chat with Empuls. Alternately, Navigate to **Empuls app > Home > Survey and Quiz Invites **and click on Respond Now.Reports and Insights

Publish events on an Outlook Channel
This feature allows Admins to automatically publish all events like award, appreciation, birthday, and work anniversary messages posted on Empuls Home Page to a dedicated channel/group chat on Outlook. Here are the steps for setting this up- Select a public channel on MS Outlook where you want all Empuls messages published. Install Empuls app on it.
- Go to Empuls > Admin > Integrations > Microsoft Outlook to start the setup.
- Click on Click Here button. If you don’t see this button, move on to the next step.
- Click on Select Outlook or Group Chat button to view a fullscreen pop-up with the title Edit Configuration.
- In the Edit Configuration Pop-up, select a Team or a group chat where you wish to publish all Empuls messages.
- Select the type of messages to be published on your team channel and click on Save.
How to add MS Outlook on Chat?
- Click on three dots on your Outlook group to add Empuls.
- Click on Continue and Empuls will be added to your chat.
How to pre-pin Empuls app on Outlook?
The pre-pin option ensures that employees can easily find Empuls app on their Outlook account. Here are the steps for Prepinning Empuls app.- Log in to Microsoft Outlook admin center.
- Click on Outlook Apps> Setup Policies.
- Click on Global (Org-wide default) option to edit the policy
- Click on **Add Apps **option under the Installed App section,
- Click on Add Apps option under Pinned App section, this allows you to pin the Empuls app in messaging extensions and Teams app bar.
