Copilot works for everyone on the platform: employees, managers, and admins each see capabilities tailored to their role and permissions.
Whether you want to recognize a colleague, check your team’s engagement trends, find out what you can redeem with your current points balance, or pull a budget report for the quarter — Copilot handles it through a single chat interface.

- Celebrate moments — send birthday wishes, work anniversary messages, or welcome new joiners
- Ask questions about how features work on the platform

Why use Copilot
Navigating a full engagement platform can slow down the tasks you perform most often. Copilot removes that friction by letting you get things done through a conversation rather than a series of menu clicks. Key benefits:- Saves time — Complete common actions like sending recognitions or pulling reports in seconds
- Reduces friction — New users can get started immediately without learning navigation patterns
- Surfaces insights — Ask for engagement data in plain language without needing to configure a report manually
- Boosts recognition participation — When recognizing a colleague is as easy as typing a sentence, it happens more often
Example use cases
I want to recognize a colleague but I'm not sure what award to use
I want to recognize a colleague but I'm not sure what award to use
Type a description of what the person did — for example, “Sarah led the client presentation and it went really well.” Em will suggest an appropriate award type and generate a draft recognition message you can edit before sending.
I need to find out who on my team hasn't been recognized lately
I need to find out who on my team hasn't been recognized lately
Ask Em directly: “Which of my team members haven’t received a recognition in the last 30 days?” Copilot returns a list based on current recognition data for your team.
I want to know what my points can buy
I want to know what my points can buy
Type “What can I redeem with my current points?” Copilot shows your balance and lists redemption options available in your region — gift cards, merchandise, experiences, and more.
I need a quick report on budget usage
I need a quick report on budget usage
As an admin, type “Show me Q2 budget usage by department.” Copilot pulls the data and presents it in the chat without requiring you to navigate to the reports section manually.
I want to wish a colleague on their work anniversary
I want to wish a colleague on their work anniversary
Type “Wish Priya on her work anniversary.” Em drafts a warm, personalized message that you can review and post to the Wishboard in one click.
Tips for better prompts
- Be specific about the person or timeframe — “Show recognitions for the engineering team in March” returns more useful data than “Show recognitions”.
- Describe the outcome you want — “Help me write a recognition for Jamie’s project delivery” produces better results than “Write something nice”.
- Ask follow-up questions — If the first response isn’t exactly what you needed, refine your prompt. Copilot maintains context within the conversation.
Copilot’s responses are based on your role and the data your account has access to. Employees cannot access other users’ data or admin-level reports through Copilot.
