The Empuls mobile app brings your workplace engagement to your pocket. Recognise colleagues, redeem reward points, respond to surveys, check the leaderboard, and stay connected with your team — all from your phone. Download Empuls Mobile from the iOS App Store or Google Play and sign in with your Empuls credentials. This guide covers downloading and installing the app, logging in, and using the key features available on mobile.

System requirements

Before downloading, confirm your device meets these requirements:

Download and install

Open the App Store

Open the Apple App Store on your iPhone.

Search for Empuls

Tap the Search tab and type Empuls.

Install the app

Tap Get and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID.

Launch Empuls

Once installed, tap Open to launch the app.
You can also find the download link by clicking your profile image in the Empuls web app and selecting Download Mobile App.

Log in to the mobile app

Three login methods are available on mobile:
Enter your registered email address and password on the login screen. If you’ve forgotten your password, tap Forgot Password to reset it.You can also tap Email OTP instead of entering your password. An OTP will be sent to your registered email address — enter it to complete login.

Key features on mobile

After logging in, you land on the Home Screen where you can access all core features:

Recognition feed

Your personalised social feed with posts, recognitions, and updates. Like posts, comment, and join discussions from your feed.

Recognise colleagues

Give recognition on the go. Tap Recognize, select a colleague, choose an award or core value, write a personalised message, and submit.

Rewards catalog

Browse the full rewards catalog and redeem your points for gift cards, merchandise, or experiences. Your points balance is visible on the Home Screen.

Surveys

Respond to pulse surveys, eNPS surveys, and lifecycle surveys sent to you by your organisation.

Groups

View and interact with all groups you’re part of. Tap Social, select a group, and read posts, react with emojis, comment, and start discussions.

Leaderboard

Check your engagement ranking and view weekly, monthly, and quarterly leaderboards under Social > Leaderboard.

Notifications

Real-time alerts for recognitions, group invitations, comment replies, and announcements keep you up to date without opening the app.

Direct messages

Send one-on-one messages to colleagues within Empuls.

Common tasks on mobile

Update your profile

  1. Tap your profile image and tap your name to open your profile.
  2. Tap About, then the pencil icon to edit.
  3. Update your bio, add skills, languages, and hobbies.
  4. Tap Save when done.
You can also view past recognitions (profile image > your name > Recognitions), your posts (profile image > your name > Posts), your budgets (profile image > My Budgets), order history, and account statement from the same profile menu.

Post on the social intranet

  1. Tap Social and tap the + icon at the bottom of the screen to create a new post.
  2. Write your post, add media if needed, and submit.
  3. Like, comment, and share posts from other colleagues to engage with your team.

Nominate a colleague for an award

  1. Tap Recognize on the Home Screen.
  2. Search for and select the colleague you want to nominate.
  3. Choose the award you’d like to nominate them for.
  4. Add a citation — a few words of appreciation. Use Improve with AI to generate suggestions if that feature is enabled for your account.
  5. Optionally, tap Review Certificate to customise the award certificate text (up to 250 characters).
  6. Review the certificate preview and tap Submit to complete the nomination.

Redeem reward points

  1. Your available points are shown on the Home Screen.
  2. Tap Visit Storefront to open the rewards catalog.
  3. Browse categories, select an item, choose denominations and quantities.
  4. Complete the checkout process to redeem your points.

Access settings and help

Tap the three-line menu icon at the top left, then tap Settings to manage your account settings. Tap Help Center to access support articles directly in the app.

Log out

  1. Navigate to your profile.
  2. Under account settings, tap Logout.
  3. Tap Logout to confirm, or Cancel to stay logged in.

Troubleshooting

Force close the app and reopen it. Restart your phone. Check that you have the latest version installed. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
Update to the latest app version. Clear the app cache — on Android, go to Settings > Apps > Empuls > Storage > Clear Cache; on iPhone, uninstall and reinstall the app. Check your internet connection.
Double-check your email address and password. Try logging in via the web version to confirm your credentials are correct. Reset your password if needed. Clear the app cache and try again.
Check that notifications are enabled for the Empuls app in your device’s system settings. Also review your notification preferences in Account Preferences in the app to ensure the relevant categories are enabled.

Performance tips

  • Keep the app updated to the latest version for bug fixes and new features.
  • Use Wi-Fi for the best performance when loading the rewards catalog or social feed.
  • Close background apps to free up memory if the app feels slow.
  • Clear the app cache occasionally on Android to keep performance sharp.
  • Restart your phone periodically if you notice general slowness.

The Empuls app is available on the Apple App Store (for iPhone) and Google Play Store (for Android). You can also find the download link by clicking your profile image in the Empuls web app and selecting Download Mobile App.
The Empuls app supports Android 8.0 (Oreo) and later, with a minimum of 2 GB RAM. Devices running earlier Android versions are not supported.
Use the Company Domain Login option and enter your company domain name. If your organisation uses SSO, you’ll be redirected to authenticate through your identity provider as normal.
Yes. Tap Visit Storefront from the Home Screen, browse the catalog, and complete redemptions exactly as you would on the web.
Most features are available on mobile, including recognition, surveys, the social feed, reward redemption, groups, the leaderboard, and notifications. Some admin-only features are only accessible via the web.
